In light of recent events, I have begun to question the importance of love and support. Without them, what motivates you to strive to be the best that you can be? Without them, what inspires you to greatness?
With the tragedies that have happened in our nation during this past year, what could have changed the course of events? What could have made those shooters say "Hey, I don't have to do this and I don't want to do this?" Was is a lack of support? Was it a lack of love?
In every day life we all have the choice to be either basically good or basically bad. Events can motivate you to shift from one end of the spectrum to the other. People can inspire other people to either strive to be a better person or to fall into darkness.
In the end, could having love and support have made a big difference? All I know is that when you are on your own, when you feel like there is no one out there who loves you, no where out there you can go, and nothing left to live for, situations become dire and evil is committed. So think about that before turning your back on someone who could really use your support. Being there for them just might motivate and inspire them to reach for the stars instead of reaching for a gun.
